Chase colours

So Chase was definitely designed as a German Shepherd, but I thought it would be fun to see what he would look like disguised as different breeds. I think they all work :D

Shadow turnaround

Just a turnaround for Shadow. It's not perfect, but it'll do I think.

It's about time for an update! Boris and I have been taking classes at iAnimate since May and it's been going well so far. Will update with some animation later though, I'm sure nobody wants to see any bouncing balls.


Here's a few designs for a secret project Boris and I put ourselves in. It'll involve some model sheets of these guys (some or all, not sure) so if they turn out alright I'll probably post those up too sometime. It was fun to just draw whatever came to mind, since the designs were open to whatever we wanted to do.



At the moment the dialogue with the dragon design has been shelved (another thing shelved!? guh!), only because it didn't start off good, but I'll possibly do other dialogue with another character. Btw I named him Sam because Samwise's voice is who I picked in my head to voice him, and it just fits so well, lol!

Changed the design a bit. These are just rough and loose expressions, I'm working on a walk cycle and I can see already that he's changed in places again, but only slightly from these.

Couldn't find a good dialogue clip where I was hoping to find it, so I'll have to keep looking for something to fit this guy. If anybody wants to suggest a clip or an actor it might help! :D



(btw I changed him cause I felt he looked like Raichu too much before...hehe, but I'm much happier with him now)

witches, dragons and dogs

So it's been a while since I've updated, shame on me, I know! D:

I never made a post about ctn, but the whole trip was a lot of fun! Meeting a lot of new people and listening to some amazing talent was so inspiring! Got to visit some really cool studios which was awesome too! All the artists I spoke to were so nice and it was great to meet everyone and just listen to stories! <3

So I had been trying to develop a character for a certain dialogue clip for a while after the new year, and it took a while to get somewhere that I was pretty happy with, though she's somewhat inspired by Madame Mim. But as it's happened in the past, I'm shelving the clip and character for later. It was a little long and I was planning on treating it like a part of a film, so I won't have much time to work on it right now. The older ones are at the top and they lead to the most recent at the right bottom corner.



Trying to find a simpler character to work with for some pencil tests, I drew this up quickly and really liked it, so I have an actor in mind for the dialogue, so I'll have to go through the film to see if there's something I could do with him (Edmund from Chronicles of Narnia)



And these are already a little old..had them on my desktop though so I figured I'd post them. They're just some development for another short-film-like project that I'll look into later if it's still interesting to me.

girly doodles

Boris and I were asked by a friend to do some character designs for him, so these are some initial doodles trying to find a look and style for the female character. I haven't gotten the final design yet so there will be more girl drawings still.

Okay not everything. But! New rough model sheets for my little girl character (Who I think I will call Becky) and the fishy C:
I think I'm happy with these as of now.



Some life drawing from my last portfolio. It's sad to know that there won't be anymore life drawing classes for the year. Hopefully we'll have enough time to go to some extra life in the second semester (I hope you all know who I'm talking about when I say "we", hehe).


And just a go at a baby elephant while Boris was doing design stuff for his chars.

character and life drawing update

I guess it'd be about time I showed some character stuff for my film.
The pond sprite it pretty much locked to this design (slight variations here and there), not to these colours yet though.
And just a pass for the little girl. I still have to play around with it and get comfortable drawing her. Well both, really. The pond sprite has been the same since the summer (and I had sneakily put her in my banner!), though the little girl showed up in the story once school started.

Wooosh....third year! Boris and I had to quit work due to school and seeing how busy it's gunna get. Maybe now we can get some more drawings out. Righto.

The first image here is a concept for a story idea/pitch for the group project...the cockatiel's kinda random and the anthro-furry was a request from DA.

Sorry, I'm so torn.


Design assignment, 4 character in a theme (instead of the western guys I made new Victorian characters), mermaids of a sketch theme thing, and then something random there.

flipbook and lip sync

So being in the hot sun for a week was sweet B) It was so hard to get anything done there though, so absolutely nothing was accomplished. Except getting a really badly uneven tan. Oi.

Flipbook time came around again; here's this years page from me.. all these drawings have been posted on my blog somewhere already.













And my human lip sync, which I will say is a wip, cause I didn't finish putting some inbetweens in at the end there and I want to finish it up to be presentable. Madam Mim from Disney and dialog of Witch Hazel.
