I think I'm happy with these as of now.



Some life drawing from my last portfolio. It's sad to know that there won't be anymore life drawing classes for the year. Hopefully we'll have enough time to go to some extra life in the second semester (I hope you all know who I'm talking about when I say "we", hehe).


And just a go at a baby elephant while Boris was doing design stuff for his chars.

character and life drawing update

I guess it'd be about time I showed some character stuff for my film.
The pond sprite it pretty much locked to this design (slight variations here and there), not to these colours yet though.
And just a pass for the little girl. I still have to play around with it and get comfortable drawing her. Well both, really. The pond sprite has been the same since the summer (and I had sneakily put her in my banner!), though the little girl showed up in the story once school started.

zoo #3

These are from the last zoo trip from this summer! (a week and a half ago)

I really loved sitting and watching the flamingos, there were so many of them and they were all doing slightly different things so there was a good variety to draw from. They got pretty aggressive towards each other too which was neat to observe.
And those red river hogs are just awesome! :D
































I hope I can get to the zoo at least one more time before the film really takes over my schedule (it's already happening!) But if not, I'm pretty happy with the drawings I got 8)

I guess my next post will most likely be film related since that's all I'll be doing! Though I don't think I'll be posting everything I draw for it.

Here's some cafe drawings from the past couple of weeks.
I'm so rusty!
I took a lot longer on these than I normally would have, I guess I was focusing on making them characters instead of getting their gestures. I need to get better with gestures.
















Drawing people from the back is much more relaxing, I don't have to worry about messing up their faces :I

I found an interestingly illustrated book called Tamara and the Sea Witch and drew some of the characters cause they looked pretty fun to draw. I also wanted to colour these at some point in my life, but dunno if I'll have tiiiiiime! D: >

Character rotation and poses for our weight-lift-toss assignment. I'll probably post her again sometime with the back pose and outlines.













The various animals came to our school from the zoo. I only really got around to drawing the camel.





And an opencanvas sketch that turned painterly, which I have been trying to finish for a while now, but doesn't seem like that'll happen soon, so I'll just post it-as-is. You don't even know how many arms and hands I went through. And they still turned out cruddy. Maybe some day I'll finish it..
